Librarians, wine, cheese. Score!

Booklist is throwing together a little wine-and-cheese event for the Public Library Association conference this Thursday, from 4 to 5 p.m. in Booth 2,371 (there are more than 2,000 booths at this freaking event?), Portland Convention Center.

Look for Portland’s favorite daughter, Chelsea Cain, along with Gar Anthony Haywood, John Shannon and Karin Slaughter for the wine and cheese throw-down. Joe Nesbo of Norway will be there. (Did someone just score a double-truck ad in The New Yorker? Hello!) My longtime friend Phil Margolin might drop by.

Me, too. The most dangerous place in Portland is between me and wine and cheese.

Check out Nesbo’s Web site. Damn. Seriously cool.
