Nelson Himself DeMille
If you pick up a copy of my novel in June, you’ll see a truly fantabulous quote from the great Nelson DeMille. He had such incredibly nice things to say about the novel and I’m deeply grateful.
But the publisher left off the first few words of his quote, and it’s maybe the thing I love about it the most.
Nelson DeMille wrote, “If you have a morbid fascination with airplane crashes – and who doesn’t? – then you absolutely must read Crashers. I literally couldn’t put this book down.”
St. Martin’s left off the “morbid fascination” part. I ask you: Why?
Nelson DeMille described my book as “morbid!” Nelson Freaking DeMille! Could I be any happier?
“Excuse me. Aren’t you the guy whose book Nelson DeMille called ‘morbid?’” “Why yes…yes I am…”
