Huge compliment

The Manhattan adventure continues. Signed more books at bookstores. Attended a couple of panel discussions at Thrillerfest. Katy and I toured the Metropolitan Museum of Art and stopped to get a hot dog in Central Park. I’m a total tourist.

One of the authors who blurbed my book – I probably shouldn’t name names – gave me a huge compliment. He said he had about 10 books on his office table, awaiting a blurb, and mine was among them. He started reading “Crashers” and, after a while, said it stopped being a job and “just a book to read.” He said he enjoyed it so much, “I’m thinking about reading it again.”

Wow. That’s a huge compliment from a long-standing author who hits the best-selling list each year.

Dana, I love this book. I want to say I couldn’t put it down, but it was the opposite – a struggle. I’d want to read more and yet I got so nervous and stressed, I had to put it down.. I could only take so much at a time. It was like being on a roller coaster ride – one that I could get on and off. I found myself yelling and kicking – like I couldn’t believe this was happening. What a scare and a thrill. It was like nothing I have read before. I can hardly wait for the movie. Thank you for a wonderful ride.
