Winslow wins one

I’m 12 years old. A friend and I are climbing into a cow pasture. We both put a hand on the fence wire, start climbing over. Our shoulders brush and we connect the electric circuit. BAM! I’m on my ass, limbs twitching, lights pulsating behind my eyes. Yeah. Reading Don Winslow’s “Savages” is a lot like that.
