Another Signing in the Books

We don’t have all the details down yet, but it looks like I’ll be doing a signing at Powell’s on Wednesday, April 10. Time and place, to be determined.

Me, writing outside a cafe in Portland.

Me, writing outside a cafe in Portland.

This is just a couple of weeks after the release of ICE COLD KILL. And the Symmetry is great, because large sections of the novel were written in the coffee shop at Powell’s City of Books. I took calendar year 2012 off to write two novels and a screenplay. And my “offices” during that time were primarily coffee shops in the downtown area: Public Domain, Pazzo’s, Powell’s, etc.

I spent my almost my entire adult life in newsrooms, which are noisy, chaotic affairs. I can’t write in the quiet. I’m no longer a working journalist, so coffee shops have become an integral part of my Writing Zone.

This is my way of saying: Thank you, Powell’s. See you in April.
