I’d Demand a Retraction If It Weren’t All Perfectly Accurate

Book reviewer Pamela Kramer of www.examiner.com has crafted the most hilarious review of ICE COLD KILL. This one was a pleasure to read.

Mind you, it’s not the biggest rave review. It isn’t all that complimentary of me as a weaver of plots. In fact, there are times when Pamela all but belts me upside the ear.

But for all that, it’s so damn funny that I couldn’t help but enjoy the whole read.

After numerating my failings, she finishes with: “And here’s the kicker: it’s an extremely enjoyable read. Kudos to Mr. Haynes. Anyone who could construct a real novel with a reasonably readable plot and paradoxically villainous heroes from such a mish-mosh of mayhem deserves our (grudging) admiration.”

Ms. Kramer? Nothing but respect. Thank you.
