A ‘Worthy’ Addition to the Phil Margolin Opera Omni
After years of thrilling us in the fictional courtroom, Portland’s own Phillip Margolin changes tack. In WORTHY BROWN’S DAUGHTER, Phil takes us to Oregon in 1860, for a tale of slavery and murder.
Phil is one of Portland’s greatest storytellers. Ever since he burst on the mystery/thriller scene with GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN in 1993, he’s been churning out the bestsellers at a torrid clip. He switched it up in 2011, co-writing a Young Adult mystery, VANISHING ACT, with his daughter, Amy Margolin Rome. Now comes WORTHY BROWN, Phil’s first historical novel and a book that he’s been thinking about for close to 30 years.
Phil launched the book Tuesday night at the Oregon Historical Society, where he did much of the research for the story. Several more signings are on his calendar. Check it out.
