Book Launch Week!

Powell’s

Wow! Great fun Tuesday night at Powell’s in Beaverton. Very good crowd, with lots of excellent questions. So incredibly grateful for the support Northwest independent bookstores shower on us local writers. Thank you.Powell's.talk

Lots of fellow journalists there, like David Sarasohn, Peter Wong and Sara Hottman. Intimidating as hell. Talking about writing in front of that bunch is like being asked to play the piano at the Van Cliburn wedding.

I can’t say enough about the fine folks at Powell’s — all locations. The staffs have been picked to be as friendly and fun and helpful as is humanly possible.

Katy and I walked into the City of Books last week with a poster and the staff gushed over it — as if they didn’t have 30 similar posters in every window. They laughed and presented a fuchsia-colored pen so I could sign books — as about 30 other writers likely had done that week. But at that moment, they made me feel like the only writer in town.

That’s a gift.

ICE COLD.InvitesJPEG

Boom!

PowellICE COLD KILL hits the stands!

Katy King and I went to Powell’s World of Books on Tuesday to check it out. It’s the first time we’ve seen it in a store.

Our friends at Powell’s gave it great real estate, too! We’re out in the first room, and we’re alphabetically placed on the Thriller row, as well as on an end-rack.

Cover Me!

ICE COLD KILL

9781250009630_p0_v1_s600So happy to see the official cover of ICE COLD KILL, at left, becoming available when you pre-order my new book — which, not for nothin’, but we’re now within 60 days of the release!

Amazon.com has the pre-order, with the official cover, here.

Barnes & Noble still has the working cover. Which I love, by the way. Having to choose between these two covers was a wonderful dilemma. It was Great vs. Really Great.

Powell’s Books also has the working cover. Again, love this design. They’re so different.

But very, very happy with the outcome. The official cover rocks!
